Let’s start with the main shot. What ended up being the album cover.
First of all, this still had its metadata, so I can see it was shot on a 5d mkii which for a shoot in 2015 is completely outdated. For a second camera body, maybe. For a main body for a huge shoot? At least RENT a 5diii or better yet a 5ds (50.6-megapixels!!!). Like, this thing is going to last forever, lets make an effort and at least pretend to be professionals.
Anyway. 2/4 are looking off camera. Louis is doing something weird with his face (clearly is mid-licking his lips). Harry looks over it. Completely misbalanced lighting (look how Louis’ face is lit compared to Harry’s). Have you heard of reflectors mate? Apparently not.

Can we also talk about how they used a grey roll backdrop??? I personally like grey as a background colour however it really exposes the kinks of the paper roll (which we can see in some of these photos). Its better to use a white background to make it easier to clip the person out in photoshop. Then you just put them in front of a grey backdrop digitally. But what do i know, im not a professional photographer :))))
